Ingredients:
Bayleaf, Black Pepper, Caraway, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander, Cumin, Fenugreek, Garlic, Ginger, Mango powder, Mustard Seeds, Nutmeg, Paprika, Poppy Seeds, Star Anise, and Turmeric.
RECIPE
LENTIL AND SPINACH MIX
Ingredients:
* Leena Dhansak spice 2 tsp
* Red lentils 250g
* Spinach chopped 250g
* Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
* Black mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
* 1 medium onion, finely chopped
* 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
* Minced garlic 1 tsp
* Minced ginger 1 tsp
* Olive oil 2 - 3 Tbsp
* Yoghurt or lemon juice 1 tsp
* Few leaves of mint and coriander, chopped
* 2 cups of water
* Cayanne pepper to taste
* Salt to taste
Method
1. Soak lentil in hot water for 20 minutes
2. Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat.
3. Add cumin and mustard seeds and onion. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Add minced garlic and ginger. Fry until golden brown.
5. Add Leena Dhansak spice, salt, Cayenne and tomatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add lentils and water. You can add more water if you need to.
7. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until tender.
8. Add spinach, mint, coriander and cook for 5 minutes more. Stir.
9. Add yoghurt or lemon juice.
10. Mix well and serve.
* You can also add chicken, lamb, vegetables or paneer of your choice. This can be added along when you add lentil.
